The only date when the Town Hall is available for the competition is 29th April, 2006 (a Bank Holiday weekend).

One of the main voluntary helpers, who dealt with all the back stage work and equipment set up is not available, and nor will the Town Council administrative staff be available over the Bank Holiday weekend. A group of young people who have previously held band competitions in the Town Hall have expressed an interest in running this event.

Members are therefore asked to consider:

(a) whether to hold the competition of 29th April, 2006
