Town Council Liaison with ECC Mid Essex Area Highways
To discuss with Mr R W Wiltshire, Senior District Manager, Mid Essex Area Highways, matters of concern and how the Town Council can represent the interests of Maldon residents.
 3.2 Consultation on Parking Standards, Design & Good Practice

To receive a report form Cllr Bentley on the consultation and consider the response to be made to ECC.

  9. REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY

Notification has been received from Heybridge Parish Council that Heybridge will be organising an independent Service of Remembrance from this year onwards, rather than alternating the service with Maldon. The British Legion approves of this decision. A Parade and service will therefore be held in Maldon this year. A meeting of the Remembrance Sunday Working Party will be organised early in September to discuss the details.
 10. QUALITY STATUS

The EALC has suggested that it would like to take the opportunity of presenting the Town Council with its re-accredited certificate for Quality Status at a Maldon District Council meeting. Another option would be to hold the presentation at the Annual Council Meeting to be held on 11th May, 2009.

TWINNING ACTIVITIES

Visit from Villeparisis
A request has been received from the Maldon Twinning Association for financial support for a visit from Maldon's French twin town of Villeparisis over the weekend of 24th - 26th April, 2009. The visit is designed to continue the dialogue between the two towns following a visit by the Town Mayor to Villeparisis in 2008. The Town Mayor agreed with the Town Clerk that 500.00 from the 2009-10 budget would be used to assist the Twinning Association with the costs of the visit, which has been sent to the Association.
 11.2 Financial Support

At the request of Cllr. Denyer and Cllr. I. Mackenzie, to review the Town Council policy regarding financial support for Maldon Twinning Association.
