ACCOUNTS & AUDIT

To receive the Income & Expenditure accounts for the year ending 31 March 2008, together with the supporting statement. The accounts together with the Annual Return will be put before Council for approval on 23 June 2008.
 7.2 To receive the year end internal audit report and the report for section 4 of the Annual Return, and to consider any recommendations therein.
  8. PUBLIC CONVENIENCES IN THE TOWN

Maldon District Council has decided to reopen the public conveniences at White Horse Lane pending a review of facilities in the District as a whole, which is due to take place later in the year. It has asked whether the Town Council would be willing to share the running costs of the White Horse Lane facilities during the interim period on a 50:50 basis at a cost of 10,000 over a 12 month period.

Parishes Transportation Group - support towards administration costs. The Town Council is represented on the Group by Cllrs Savage & Shrimpton.

To receive the report of the Building Inspection of the Town Hall and consider any urgent action required
 10.2 To consider the quotation for the installation of permanent stage lights on the lighting bar in the Main Hall. This project would be suitable for an application to the ECC Community Initiatives Fund. The closing date for applications is 9 July.

In accordance with s.1 of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 to resolve that in view of the confidential nature of the business to be discussed it is in the opinion of the Committee advisable in the public interest that the public and press be temporarily excluded and they be instructed to withdraw.
