  7. OLDER PERSONS STRATEGY

Further to the Town Council meeting held on 23rd June, 2008 to receive a draft copy of the Older Persons Strategy for the period April, 2008 to April, 2011 from the Community Services Officer, Maldon District Council. The Consultation period is from 1st May, to 23rd July, 2008. To consider the Town Council's response to this documents.

  8. PROPOSED UPGRADE TO EXISTING VODAPHONE BASE STATION
WHITE HORSE LANE

To receive and consider a letter and plans from PICO Consultants limited regarding a proposal to upgrade an existing site for a revised radio base station.

  9. TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES - CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING WORKS

Notification has been received from the Area Highway Manager, Essex County Council, of the following temporary road closures. Additional details and maps will be available at the meeting or from the Planning Committee Clerk.
 9.1 Coleridge Road, Maldon

9th July - 13th July inclusive - 0700 to 1900 hours
Road closed from the junction with Milton Road for its entire length: a distance of 260 metres
 9.2 Cherry Garden Road, Maldon

13th July - 17th July inclusive - 0700 to 19.00 hours
The road will be closed from the junction with St. Giles Crescent to the junction with Spital Road; a distance of 312 metres
 9.3 Marlowe Close, Maldon

9th July - 13th July inclusive - 0700 - 1900 hours
The road will be closed from the junction with Wordsworth Avenue for its entire length; a distance of 150 metres
 9.4 Norfolk Road/Suffolk Crescent/Norfolk Close, Maldon

10th July - 14th July inclusive - 0700 - 1900 hours
The road will be closed as follows:

Norfolk Road Suffolk Crescent from the junction with Acacia Drive for the entire length; a distance of 430 metres

Norfolk Close from the junction with Norfolk Road for the entire length; a distance of 132 metres
 9.5 Wentworth Meadows, Maldon

8th July - 12th July inclusive - 0700 to 1900 hours
The road will be closed from the junction with Spital Road to the junction with St. Peters Avenue; a distance of 333 metres.
 9.6 Beacon Hill, Maldon

13th July - 17th July inclusive - 0700 - 1900
The road will be closed from the junction with London Road to the junction with Cherry Garden Road; a distance of 240 metres.
 10. TOWN AND COUNTY PLANNING ACT 1990

Proposal: Installation of a canopy above part of the Infants' play area
