|| Brickhouse Farm Allotment Site
a. Site Extension
After receipt of satisfactory Risk Assessments, the contractor expects to start the work shortly.
b. Quotations for the Boundary Fence
To receive and consider quotations for the supply and installation of a chain link boundary fence around the perimeter of the sites extensions.
c. Any other matters
To consider verbal reports concerning the site.
|| Maldon Hall
a. Community Service workers have almost completed working on plot 5 which they are rotovating. They will then started to work on plot 39a.
|| Tenants Meeting
Members are informed that an informal meeting of allotment tenants has been arranged for Thursday, 22nd October, 2009 in the Conference Room, Town Hall commencing at 7.30pm. The aim of the meeting is to give tenants the opportunity to raise any concerns which they may have and to hear ideas on ways in which the sites could be improved. All members are welcome to attend.

|| MALDON IN BLOOM
The judges visited the town on Wednesday, 15th July, 2009. The tour of the town went well and the results will be received at the Presentation Day being held in Gorleston, Norfolk on Wednesday, 16th September, 2009.
| GROUNDS MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
The Town Councils solicitor suggested some minor changes to the wording of the contract details. The contract will now be advertised in the Public Notices section of the Essex Chronicle, on public notices boards outside the Moot Hall and Town Hall and on the website.
|| LEECH MEMORIAL GARDEN
Further to minute of the Environment Committee meeting held on 11th August, 2009. To receive a response, to be circulated at the meeting, from the Friends of Leech Memorial Garden regarding use of the garden.
|| MARKET HILL GARDEN
To receive and consider verbal reports regarding matters at the garden.
| CLOSED CHURCHYARDS
St. Peter's Churchyard - Trees
a. Survey of the Holm Oak
To receive and consider quotations to undertake a climbing inspection and survey report of the Holm Oak.
b Various Tree Work
To receive and consider quotations for work to trees in St. Peters Churchyard.
c. SureStart Children's Centre
A letter has been received from SureStart Childen's Centre requesting permission to use the area in front of the Maeldune Centre to run a simple arts project to encouraging passing children to make handprints in paint onto a large canvas, echoing the Children's Centre's logo during their Events Week from 12th - 18th September. As the request arrived in between meetings, the Town Clerk has granted permission as the garden is for public use.

The Grounds Maintenance Contractor has cleared the area to the right of Church Walk.
| AMENITY AREAS
The bollards are shortly to be installed at the site.
|| WAR MEMORIAL
At the request of the Chairman, to consider whether quotations should be sought to clean the upper part of the War Memorial. The person who undertook the restoration work to War Memorial and of the Bright tomb in St Peter's Churchyard has been contacted to request professional advice on this matter. The lower part of the memorial, including all the name plates, is cleaned on a regular basis by a local contractor. He has advised that he would be unable to undertake the work to the top of the memorial.

To receive and consider verbal reports regarding matters at the Ruins.
|| POETS ESTATE
To receive and consider verbal reports regarding matters at the Poets Estate.
| WARE POND
Members are informed that the Grounds Maintenance Contractor has undertaken a clearance of the site. To enable the rear area and island to be cleared a boat will be used to access the vegetation later in the year.
To receive and consider a quotation from the Grounds Maintenance Contractor to plants the pond with water lilies and marginals. To be circulated at the meeting.
